MISSION STATEMENT
Reposition Development empowers individuals to maximize their full potential by educating them on how to embrace life’s challenges and turn obstacles into opportunities.
Vision
Reposition Development’s ultimate goal is to reduce the recidivism rate of offenders and to aid in the restoration of their lives so that they can reenter society as positive contributors and to bring awareness to the local church of the nation’s fastest growing population so that they can contribute in rehabilitating those impacted by incarceration.
History
Reposition Development is a faith-based organization that began as an opportunity to help individuals reposition their lives into a positive direction. Reposition Development is a nonprofit organization that encourages both males and female offenders to make a difference in their lives by offering them mentoring, case management planning and analysis, job development, educational skills, and faith-based initiatives.
About Reposition Development
Reposition Development is designed to meet the unique needs of individuals and help to break the cycle of recidivism. At Reposition Development we seek to provide skills that are necessary in order to become productive members of society. The primary goals of the program is to reduce the recidivism rate, increase workforce readiness, reduce the relapse rate for people with substance abuse and dependency, promote high ethical and education standards, teach participants how to be leaders in their communities, and promote family and parental involvement. We want to build self-esteem and promote culture, health, education, and professional development among all socioeconomic backgrounds. Inmates within two years of their release date or six months prior to their parole date eligibility may be eligible for work release.

- Transportation to and from work while in the program
- Assistance with locating permanent housing upon release from the program
- Follow up services (post-release)
- Assistance with resume writing, cover letters, interview skills, job leads etc.
